The Museum has an extensive collection of memorabilia, images, documents and posters in our exhibits which support our mission: To collect, preserve, protect, archive and exhibit a variety of original materials containing information of permanent historical value relating to the history and heritage of the American Western Film for the preservation, education and enrichment of the public. The Museum actively pursues collections of personal papers, business and organizational records, as well as memorabilia that reflect and document aspects of Western film history and popular culture for successive generations to discover.
Southern Inyo Local Healthcare District is dedicated to maintaining and improving health of residents and visitors of the District through a coordinated health program, including acute inpatient and outpatient services, skilled nursing, education, referral services, and recruitment of health care personnel, with the support of the Citizens in Support of Southern Inyo Hospital, the Inyo County Supervisors, and the voters within the Southern Inyo Healthcare District boundaries.

Located just off US 395 for easy access, this large campsite circling the 80-acre Diaz Lake is the perfect location to explore the nearby area or just relax and enjoy lakeside camping. It is only three miles from all the amenities in the town of Lone Pine, which is also home to the Lone Pine Museum of Western Film. Just up the road from Lone Pine are the Alabama Hills, where more than 400 movies have been shot, from classics such as "Gunga Din" to recent hits like "Ironman." Further up is Mt. Whitney, the tallest peak in the continental US. Ten miles north on US 395 is the Manzanar Japanese American Internment Camp, which is now a National Historic Site.
The Alabama Hills are a range of hills and rock formations near the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada in the Owens Valley, west of Lone Pine in Inyo County, California. Though geographically separate from the Sierra Nevada, they are part of the same geological formation.The Alabama Hills location as a gateway to Mt.
